I meant to start this blog a long time ago but it was too easy to just upload vlogs. Now my travels are taking me to places where High Speed internet is less easy to come by I thought it time I started making more use of text based communication.
For anyone who has come to this without first seeing my Vlog on YouTube here is the story so far I set off on 31st of October 2006 on a journey which all going well will take me 6 months. At present I am in a hotel just outside San Jose in Costa Rica having already travelled south along the east coast of the USA from New York to Miami.
The remaining part of the trip will see me heading to Peru in early January then Chilli, Easter Island, Venezuela and Barbados.
Right now I’m sitting in my room feeling slightly out of my depth in a predominantly Spanish speaking country and only speaking a few words of Spanish. Although the hotel has high speed WiFi an unusually cold spell of weather and very high winds has taken out the power lines and when the electrics went out so did the internet.
Although I arrived here yesterday I really have not done much, I have been suffering M.E. type symtoms for a few years now and although the problem seams to be abaiting (for a while I had troble getting out of bed and staying awake), a hard days travelling always leaves me feeling very drained, when this happens I usually finde the best thing is to rest a day if possible or it just gets worse.
